People always say they wish SunRail went all the way to
Daytona Beach, instead of ending in DeBary.

At a SunRail commission meeting Wednesday morning Volusia
County Council Member Pat Patterson said it would cost $1 billion to extend the
train service to Daytona Beach. Yes, that’s billion, as in B.
Right now no one can come up with the $77 million it would
cost to extend SunRail to the Volusia County seat in DeLand.
So, in other words it ain’t happening. Or at least it won’t
happen any time soon.
We’re sure our great grandchildren will enjoy taking
SunRail to the beach.
