Wednesday morning FDOT
tweeted that 2 SunRail trains were canceled due to “railroad congestion.
We asked FDOT -- the
agency that runs SunRail -- what “railroad congestion” meant.
FDOT’s response:
“This
morning a freight train had an equipment malfunction that blocked the entrance
of our yard. The freight train was at least a mile long and impacted entrances
for both the NB and SB track. We were not able to get our trains out of the
yard until that cleared.”
